This project began with a white Old Navy coat and a cozy knit sweater—both thrifted treasures with hidden potential. I carefully deconstructed each piece and reimagined them as one cohesive garment, blending their unique textures in a way that felt fresh yet harmonious. The coat's rich, earthy green hue came to life through an all-natural dyeing process using red onion skins, soy sauce, and alum.I highlighted the final look with beading and embellishments salvaged from the original sweater, giving the coat a handcrafted, elevated finish.
